In this image, broadcast journalist Walter Cronkite is pictured by Julian Allen in the St. Regis Hotel in Monarch Beach, California, seated before a recreation of Garden of Allah by Maxfield Parrish. The original Parrish artwork was painted in 1918 for Crane's Candy Co. boxes, and measured just 15 x 30 inches. It was reimagined for the St. Regis Hotel bar by arist Russell Carter at a scale of 6 x 13 feet.
