The Art of Democracy exhibition of prints was exhibited at The National Arts Club in New York City, from November 2 through 14, 2008, as part of a national coalition of political art exhibitions co-organized by The New York Society of Etchers and artist activist Art Hazelwood of San Francisco, CA. This historic effort included the work of as many as one thousand artists participating in over 50 exhibitions simultaneously across the United States. Artists included in the New York exhibition, curated by artists Marshall Arisman and Frances Jetter, included Linda Adato, Marshall Arisman, Carla Bauer, Kristine T. Bouyoucos, Ann Chernow, Soo-Jin Chung, Ellen Coleman, Zev Deans, Stephen A. Fredericks, Margaret Gosden, Sarah Hauser, Art Hazelwood, Andy Hoogenboom, Rosalee O. Isaly, Frances Jetter, Denise Kasof, Mattias Kern, Brian Knoerzer, Jessica Lenard,Sue Huggins Leopard, Timothy Massey, Bill Murphy,Louis Netter, Joan O’ Connor, Richard Pantell, Michael Pellettieri, Alan Petrulis, Bruce Richards, Victoria Salzman, Justin Sanz, Sarah Sears, William H.
